Daughters of Judah

I suppose some will thrive regardless of the outcome of the election.  Seems there's going to be no way, no matter who they declare as the winner, for there not to be an uproar about it.  Time will tell how uproarious things get.  Should be quite a show one way or the other.  But whatever happens, there will be those who fare better than others.  And the faring will still probably come down to money and resources.  And of course physical health and physical and mental abilities.  Many are physically handicapped.  Many are mentally handicapped.  I am lucky to not be either.  And thanks to the Dave Ramsey financial plan and a good helping of consistent effort, I am sitting in a pretty decent financial position.  Baby step number 7.  Build wealth and give.  The only way to build wealth that I know is to make sure I get a paycheck on Friday and make sure I save a good chunk of that paycheck.  That's how I got to where I am today and I can project where I will be in the future if things stay as they are as far as that goes.

In the meantime people get older, kids grow up, get married, and have more kids.  Go forth and prosper.  Occupy until he comes.  So right now I figure my employer is going to stay in business and keep me employed and keep that paycheck coming in as long as I keep doing the job and getting good grades at work.  Most likely the upheaval will not hit my neighborhood too bad and I will still be able to go out and get groceries and a haircut when I need one.  One day at a time and soon enough it will be 2021 and we can go from there.  During the first Civil War in this country, I probably would have had to go and join the army or be killed by the locals.  This time around it seems there will be no such conscription and I should be able to reman neutral.  Although I am not neutral at all as far as being on the right side of things, but I don't feel that I will be going out to join any protest groups in the street unless there were one within a mile or two of where I live, then I might go out and lend my voice for the right cause.

But I'm not going to go down in to Washington DC and get involved in anything.  I'll leave that up to whoever wants to do it.  I'd rather go down to Virginia Beach and listen to Pastor Terry Shuttlesworth preach but I can just watch him on the computer now.  So I'll read my books and relax and work my job.  Pull my shifts.  Keep up my work journal for review meetings.  Do the best I can on the job.  Pick up the tickets and squeeze them out for every drop that they are worth.  And study the word.  Pastor Murray says you are never wasting your time when you are studying the word and I believe that is true.  Right now I'm working on Ezekiel.

The book of Ezekiel begins with Ezekiel among the captives by the river Chebar in Babylon.  I think he has already been taken captive even though King Zedekiah is still on the throne in Jerusalem.  I think King Zedekiah made some kind of deal with Nebuchadnezzar and is basically a servant king to Babylon at this time.  God comes down to visit Ezekiel there and the story is all about what happened when God came down to visit with Ezekiel.  This is also the time of Jeremiah and n the book of Ezekiel there is some mention of the house in Egypt where Jeremiah took the daughters of Zedekiah after Zedekiah was lead away to Babylon in chains with his eyes gouged out and then killed.  On the door of the house is written, Daughters of Judah.  They later went on to Scotland and England and so we have those nations today.
